I have been to the "Torture Museum" in Amsterdam. While not a "sex" or
"human sexuality" museum by any stretch of the imagination, much of the
torture described was either a result of socially unapproved sexual
behavior, political activity, or just plain-and-simple misogyny.

I visited this museum around 1991/1992 and even today, images from the
exhibits make me wince in sympathetic pain.
