*Open Position: Researcher/Registrar, John and Susan Horseman Foundation
for American Art*

Accepting applications through February 28, 2013. Full-time position,
salary commensurate with experience.

The John and Susan Horseman Foundation for American Art is seeking a
Researcher/Registrar to catalogue paintings and sculpture, as well as
maintain records related to artwork. The Researcher/Registrar will also
update and edit the collection website, research and compose short entries
about artwork, arrange photography sessions, and perform various other
administrative tasks.

*Job Requirements*

·       Bachelor’s degree in Art History, History, or Museum Studies
required, Master’s degree preferred

·       Experience working in a museum or private art collection setting
preferred

·       Strong research and computer skills

·       Excellent writing skills and attention to detail

·       Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

·       Ability to correspond professionally

·       Experience with digital photography and Photoshop preferred

·       Experience cataloguing artwork
