Thanks Chris for sharing your experience.  I greatly appreciate it.  I would
concur that storing charged weapons would not be such a great idea. ;)

I can understand not keeping the contents for most museums for a variety of
reasons.  But the gist of my original question is how do you handle
alcohol-related exhibits and artifacts when you are in an environment that
is staunchly anti-drinking.  Your experience confirmed my instincts.  I
would agree that management was gutless, but alas, I am beginning to mellow
somewhat and know that you have to choose your battles wisely.
