Eric, I would love a copy--If you have procedure available (how did you

get the schools to distribute?) that would be great too. If you see

Marilyn Hoyt, tell her--Darcy (Topo's mom) says hello. Thank you,

The New York Hall of Science and Altered Image have completed a

survey

of teachers' use of the WWW to support museum visits. The survey had

over 1200 respondants who answered 23 questions related to their use

of

the WWW for teaching in general, and specifically as a part of an

informal education experience. A report analyzing the results of

this

survey is now available.

We were able to persuade the NYC Department of Education to

distribute

the survey through their in-house email system, which resulted in

well

over a 1000 responses from NYC public school educators.

As far as I know, this is the largest such survey, and we will be

glad

to email it to anyone who would like a copy.

Special thanks are due to the National Science Foundation's Informal

Science Education program for their support, and to Altered Image

designing the survey and working hard to reach so many teachers.
