A long debated topic. Our institution runs with the idea that as long as the next several exhibits won't clash with the colors, it's better to have color. For our galleries we have a combination of apple green, coffee bean brown and a sort of pale purplish taupe all with white trim.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Exhibition area paint question

Hi-

Sorry in advance if this is a super basic question but museums/exhibits are not our usual area.

My library wants to paint one of our interior walls white to use as a backdrop for mounting exhibits. Is there a specific paint brand/color that is common for this? I know white is just not white and it can be cool or warm toned. Or, is white not the color to use?

I would appreciate any suggestions.
