On the pragmatic side, if the house is in good shape, then using it as a rental facility could generate income. This plan is not without its problems... 



We are planning for a new facility sometime in the future, and this question comes up about our current facility (the original town hall in the city). My favorite option for our building, and one you didn't mention for yours, is to use it as a research center.
