Gail,

The inventory of the anthropology collection at our museum took 15 years
using interns, volunteers, and limited term contract assistance. Over
this time, there were about 110 people involved. This included cleaning
and padding drawers and shelves, making computerized drawer lists,
rectifying labeling and storage errors, checking and confirming
documentation, and other specific endeavors depending upon the
collection location and type. The collection contains approximately
120,000 items.

Subject: Inventories

Hello,

If you have recently performed a complete collection inventory, I would
be interested in how long it took and how many people were involved.
Also, an indication of the size of the collection.

I thank you in advance for your help.

Gail

GREAT NEWS! The FJJMA is growing again AND the museum is open during
construction. Grand opening fall 2011!
Remember, OU students ALWAYS get free admission with valid ID.
