I use to live in San Antonio and would pass through Waco on my annual 
family visits.  I don't have information on the house you speak of but 
did visit the Texas Ranger museum.  It was excellent.  Waco was a nice 
area and I really enjoyed Texas.  Anywhere you move will take a little 
getting use to......that's the nature of it all.  However, if you have 
never been in that area of the country, you may want to visit prior to 
accepting the position.   It can be a culture shock for some.
