Theme:   
“Currents of Convergence: Making Connections  in Big  Sky Country”

boatload  of session topics are provided.  Guidelines provide suggestions 
for different  session formats. You can also request a proposal form by 
responding to this  email or  by contacting MPMA at the information below.  Also,

e.        Intro to Objects: ceramics, toys,  glass, or whatever is in your 
collection 
f.        21st century skills  
g.       Marketing in the 21st  century/social networking 
h.       Board development:  challenges, orientation, boredom,  terms 
i.         Rentals:  your museum, your traveling  exhibit 
j.         Historic House Museums turning a  profit 
k.        Preparing for a public hearing on  your site 
l.         Scaling back the costly site /  building plan 
m.      Grants / funding from unlikely  sources 
n.    Volunteers: training, sustaining,  manuals, nurturing 
o.    University museums: admin woes,  selling collections, updating  
natural history  exhibits 
p.   Exhibit design on a small budget 
q.   Education issues: Programming  challenges,  Interdisciplinary  
programs, Interpretation how to's, Interpretation theories, Living History  
training and presentation techniques, Living History costumes, materials,  Working 
with your school district, Teen programs, Storytelling, Marketing to  
teachers, Managing education staff, Learning styles, Creating and maintaining  
teacher advisory groups
