Please post the following:
 
The Detroit Institute of Arts seeks an individual to manage production of a
prototype hypermedia program now in the planning stages. Applicants must have
demonstrated experience in editing, writing, research, project planning and
administration, and an advanced degree (MA) in the history of art. Computer
literacy is essential: knowledge of multimedia desirable although this position
is not technical in nature.
 
The Manager will be the primary staff contact and liason with the program
developer (to be determined) and be responsible for coordinating or over-
seeing all aspects of multimedia productioin, under the supervision of the
office of Exhibition Coordination. The successful candidate must be able to
work creatively and cooperatively with a variety of staff members including
curators, educators, photographers, sound technicians and others, to research
develop, write, edit and finalize multimedia script which will include sound,
video, graphics, animation, text, and still imagery. Addition duties will/may
include image and sound research; obtaining reproduction rights; and/or coordin
ating that process with outside agencies.
