Bush DID carefully NOT use the "alongside" word.
I cannot stand what the ID people are trying to do politically... it
si, of course, about power.
However, I would have NO problem with current ID beliefs being taught
in a comparative religion class OR a current culture class addressing
social construction of "realities."
The problem is in setting it over-against evolution as a SCIENTIFIC
theory.
The 6000 year old Earth "theory" (i.e. opinion/belief) is also alive
and far too well...but at least they SAY their "evidence" is the Bible.
