> Dear Colleagues:
> Chicago Children's Museum's nationally recognized exhibit Face to Face: Dealing With Prejudice & Discrimination has finished its national tour and is now up for sale. The 1500 square foot, bilingual (English/Spanish) exhibit was developed for children ages 5-10 years old.
>
> Over the last six years Chicago Children> '> s Museum (CCM) has toured Face to Face: Dealing With Prejudice & Discrimination to twelve institutions throughout the country. The response from the thousands of visitors who have experienced the exhibit and its related programming, has been overwhelmingly positive.
>
> CCM's commitment to diversity is reflected in the Face to Face exhibit and associated family and school group programming. It's exploration of prejudice and discrimination for children, caregivers, and educators has consistently attracted the attention of corporate, foundation and individual funders. We have received 6 figure gifts from Abbott Laboratories, Bank of America, The Joyce Foundation, and WBBM-TV, Channel 2 in support of CCM's diversity efforts. We have also received support from The Siragusa Foundation, The Northern Trust, New Prospect Foundation, The Nathan Cummings Foundation, The Joseph and Claire Flom Foundation and The Field Foundation of Illinois. Our Face to Face school group programs and teacher workshops have also been very successful, booking over forty groups per school year.
>
> We are currently accepting bids for the purchase of this one of a kind exhibit, with an asking price of $100,000. The original content development, design and construction cost for the exhibit was $375,000 which would cost $450,000 to build today. Clearly this exhibit will provide your institution with a cost-effective interactive experience that will provide meaningful interaction among families, classes, and community groups and a tool for addressing issues that sometimes seem insurmountable.
> Attached below is a pdf document detailing each component, including photos can be emailed to you off-list by request.
>
> Should you have any additional questions, or if you are ready to discuss pricing please call me at 312-464-7703. Further information on how the exhibit was developed is also available upon request.
