Erin,
Kim is right. Museums should to be able to borrow from each other when
possible, unless there's a reason not to.
It might even be a good idea to go halfsies on certain rarely-used items,
such as slide projectors or a large number of folding chairs. What's the
point of two museums spending $1000 each for say 100 chairs when they could
spend $500 each and share 100 chairs.
