The Salt Lake Art Center, a non-profit arts organization with a budget
of just under $1 million, seeks a Communications Director to support all
aspects of the Art Center's communications and marketing efforts of its
exhibitions and programs, to enhance its image locally, regionally, and
nationally, and promote increased attendance and profile in the
community. This position is the primary media contact and is responsible
for calendars and listings, producing and issuing regular electronic
updates, writing, editing, and distributing press releases, publication
of the membership newsletter and coordination of all print materials,
among other duties. 

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills;
outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to
work with a wide range of individuals; a willingness to engage with
donors and patrons and to participate in a variety of Salt Lake Art
Center activities and events; and the ability to meet deadlines and to
be a team player. College degree with experience in marketing or public
relations desired, or equivalent previous experience working in PR or
marketing in the arts or other non-profit organizations. Salary
commensurate with experience.
