Perhaps the Association of Moving Image Archivists can help with a placement.
They work with a broad-based group of professionals and collecting organizations
- www.amianet.org From the website:
AMIA is a non-profit professional associationestablished to
advance the field of moving image archiving by fostering cooperation
among individuals and organizations concerned with the
acquisition, description, preservation, exhibition and use of moving
image materials.
AMIA's members range from those who work solely with moving
images to organizations where moving images
are only a small part of their collection to individuals who
want to protect their personal collection
- home movies or small gauge or video - to film buffs
concerned with losing our visual heritage

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Internships
Greetings!
One of the museum studies students here at Tusculum is interested in an
internship in film preservation. Anyone know of organizations/archives/for
profit companies that regularly take on interns in this area? This young lady
will be ready to do her internship late 2011 or early 2012.
I have done a little investigation and turned up some things from a web search,
I am interested more in the personal knowledge and experience of the listserv.
Thanks in advance-
