there is a quantum leap in developmental abilities of 3 year olds and 6
year olds.  If you absolutely need to combine groups of such varying
ages, I would either assign one adult specifically to the 3 - 4 year olds
or have a buddy system where each preschooler is partnered with a grade
schooler.
I STRONGLY recommend the former!!
