Before I make my point, this is the first remark I've ever replied to and it
is a very interesting one too. I'm a member of this generation with the high
alternative lifestyle that tatoos, multiple piercings, and so on. I don't see
anything wrong with it and everyone has a right to live life as they see fit
along with being respected as individuals, but at the same time, members of my
generation must be aware that there are consequences for that alternative
lifestyle. We're looked upon as lazy and unprofessional and to an extent, that
is true. I do think we should respect our employers dress codes and other
regulations, but those codes should be relaxed from time to time. It's all about
compromise in the workplace. If my generation wants to be taken seriously, we
must work within the system to gain respect. Dressing appropriately
definitely helps, but the biggest thing we must do is learn to speak the English
language correctly. It irritates me a great deal when I hear young people falling
back on words such as like over and over again. We are the future and I have
great faith in my generation that we can make the US even better than it
currently is.
