We have a phenomenon now of older students re-entering the museum
studies field with a great deal of experience  desperately needed by the
museums. I've worked in advertising and publishing, and have experience
that could be traded for hands-on experience in other areas. I had
classmates in the same situation who were treated as if they were 21 and
that's a real waste of resources.

I'm 41, which I don't think of as old until I realize that means 20
years of working! (and understanding what work means).
