Question:  I need some help here.

What is the average percentage of a museum's budget that goes to
wages/benefits for their employees.

G. Ellis Burcaw states that a "rule-of-thumb in a healthier situation is
that two thirds of the annual operating budget should be devoted to
salaries.  Even 75 per cent may not be excessive under some circumstances."
('Introduction to Museum Work,' 2nd ed., AALSH, 43).
