try a web search using the terms
King George revolution preachers

there will be several articles on the topic including'
http://www.davekopel.com/Religion/Religious-Roots-of-the-American-Revolution.pdf

this one has a good bibliography

try the same terms searching "images" rather than the web and a few portrait possibilities may result

Best wishes, Barbara, retired librarian

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] The 4 Bees in King George's Bonnet

Hello Everyone,

I am helping a sculptor at Brookgreen Gardens who would like to sculpt the portraits of the "4 bees in King George's Bonnet". These bees were 4 preachers before the Revolutionary war who spoke out against the king. The churches involved were Bethesda Presbyterian in McConnells, South Carolina, Bullock Creek in Sharon, South Carolina and Bethel and Beersheba, both also in South Carolina, possibly in York County. I am looking for any information on the subject and what these men said, and any images of them that can be used to create a sculpture. He wants to complete the sculpture by the end of the week so any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Caroline Rainey
