More than 250 items, taken from the Crimean Ethnographic Museum, are
exhibited at the inter-regional exhibition "Peoples of Crimea" in the
excursion and exhibition centre "People's House" of the State Museum-Reserve

** $25,000 ruby, once pride of great Indian mogul, plaything for children
For a few days in the 1920s, according to a cutting from a local paper in
Pennsylvania, two children in Leicestershire played with an imperial Indian
gemstone, a ruby-red spinel the size of a walnut hanging on a golden chain
with a tassel of seed pearls.

** Asian Civilisations Museum a living symbol of Singapore's history
The building was converted into a museum only in 1989 and initially housed
artefacts from the Qing dynasty, until the NHB took over and made it the
Asian Civilisations Museum in 2003.
