Hello, Listers -

I am looking for anyone who has firsthand experience mounting a chandelier
for an exhibit. We are working on a couple of different schemes and are
looking for advice on which is the most feasible and whether we are
overlooking anything obvious. I can reply and provide additional details
and photos of the chandelier in question off-list, but in general terms it
is a two tier, cast iron chandelier with scrollwork and chains connecting
each tier to a central ring. It was likely originally used with candles but
has since been electrified. We are NOT interested in rewiring it or having
it appear lit in any way - we plan to highlight it with the track lighting
we have in our gallery - and though the chains that it hung from originally
are still in good shape, we will not be mounting it from them for safety and
artifact preservation concerns. The exhibit will not be permanent - it will
be up for 1 year. I do have a local electrician coming to throw in his two
cents, but would like a museum perspective if anyone has dealt with this
before.

Thanks in advance.
