You might want to look through the archives for the thread on BMI, et al.,
actively pursuing (or harassing, as the case may be) small museums about
music copyrights. You should be able to find it within the last month or
two.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Copyright Issues

Hello All!

My name is Jamie Beals and I am a student at Franklin Pierce Law in Concord,
NH. I am currently writing a paper about Copyright Issues and Museums. I
would like to address copyright issues and legal problems faced not only by
museums but by Historical Societies, Historic Homes and Presidential
Libraries.

I am wondering if any of you out there might have stories you would be
willing to share regarding copyright questions or legal problems your
museums (etc.) have encountered. I would of course be willing to keep your
information confidential, but would like to use some stories to illustrate
common problems.

You may contact me directly through email: [log in to unmask]

Thanks!
Jamie
