The Smithsonian American Art Museum cordially invites you to attend "Slaves Waiting for Sale: Visualizing the American Slave Trade," a lecture by Dr. Maurie D. McInnis, winner of the 2012 Charles C. Eldredge Prize for outstanding scholarship in American art. 



  

The lecture will take place on October 18, 2012 at 4 p.m., in the museum's Nan Tucker McEvoy Auditorium, located at 8th and G Streets, N.W., Washington, D.C.  The event is open to the public and no reservations are required.
