Re: display of accessioned artwork in non exhibit areasThe Smithsonian puts cool objects from the collection on display in the director's office (and perhaps others). You get to see them on the behind-the-scenes tour of the Castle.

  We have some fine art pieces (paintings, some furniture) that we have displayed in museum offices as well as other spaces on campus.  Pieces in other offices are done as loans so we have a record of where they are.
