Good Morning Anne,

I would recommend basing your advertising costs on the following
formula.

Last year's actual total attendance x $1.00 = advertising costs (hard
dollars) for media buys.

In other words, if you had 100,000 total attendance, you could spend
approximately $100,000 in advertising......if you had 30,000 total
attendance, you could spend approximately $30,000 for advertising/media
buys.......

This is a recommended "rule of thumb".....

Best Wishes,

Wesley

P.S. I consider advertising as something that costs real dollars for
"placement" (i.e. the back cover of Time Magazine).....and public
relations as something that does not cost real dollars for "placement"
(i.e. the front cover of Time Magazine).

Subject: Budgeting Question

Hello: I was wondering if people could tell me what percentage of their
annual operating budget is allocated for advertising and public
relations? Please respond off list.

Thanks, Anne
