This is a superb all-round opportunity to develop finance, process
improvement and management skills in a rapidly modernising and
world-renowned setting. As Finance Manager, you will provide a first
class accounts service to the diverse departments within the British
Museum group. You will assist with the review and strengthening of
processes, thinking creatively to propose and implement improvements to
the Museum’s finance administration.
You will lead a team and build strong team morale, also managing and
developing members of the finance team through professional
qualifications. You will liaise with curatorial and service departments
alike to raise the profile of the finance function across the
organisation in turn enabling the British Museum to meet its remit to be
a, “museum of the world, for the world”.
To join our team you will be a superb communicator who is able to juggle
conflicting demands and prioritise workload effectively. You will have a
passion for the Museums and Galleries sector and will clearly
demonstrate an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude. Educated to degree level
(or equivalent), you will be a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with a
first class understanding of internal controls.
