The Camden County Historical Society, located in Camden New Jersey seeks an
Education Program Coordinator to research, develop and present a wide range
of creative, interpretive programs on historic and contemporary topics for
the Society's diverse audiences.

Main responsibilities include: Develops ongoing relationships with educators
throughout Camden County to make the resources of the Camden County
Historical Society accessible to students at all grade levels--both at the
Society and in the classroom.  Works with staff to prepare creative programs
relating to the Society's permanent collection and special exhibits for
educational, civic, senior and other groups.  Schedules and conducts in house
and off site school and community programs.  Venues include schools,
libraries, senior centers and meeting halls, as well as the Society complex.
Develops support print material such as docent manuals, brochures,
questionnaires and pre-and post-visit information.  Works with the Volunteer
Coordinator to recruit, train and schedule docent staff, to help conduct
educational programs.
Responds to public inquiries for all group programming.

Experience required: BA in Museum Education, Education, History and/or a
related field plus two years experience in a comparable professional
capacity. Must be computer literate and have a valid driver's license.
Knowledge of New Jersey History and supervisory experience is a plus.
