Dear Colleagues,
In order to better reflect its mission, the Terra Foundation for the Arts is changing its name to the Terra Foundation for American Art. We are developing new initiatives in support of American art scholarship, exhibitions, and education programs, many of which will be announced in the fall of 2005. Our newly launched Web site has information on these areas of concentration and other activities. An exciting feature is the searchable online catalogue of the foundation's collection of paintings, works on paper, and sculptures. Please visit us at www.terraamericanart.org <http://www.terraamericanart.org/> .
The Terra Museum of American Art, Chicago closed its doors on October 31, 2004. In addition to its programs in support of American Art, the Foundation continues to operate its museum in France, the Musée d'Art Américain Giverny www.maag.org.
