Position:  Manager of Education Outreach and Leadership Programs

Department:  Education
Division:  National Library

Introduction:

The Education and Leadership Department at George Washington's Mount Vernon is seeking an Education Outreach and Leadership Programs Manager to support the planning, creation, and implementation of education and leadership programming for varied audiences.  Initiatives include day-to-day administration and planning as well as on-and off-site event management.  It is expected that the Manager will support curriculum development and lead/facilitate programs with teacher and student groups at Mount Vernon.

Qualifications:
*                  Knowledge of George Washington and 18th century history
*                  Excellent written and oral communication skills, including editing and public speaking
*                  Understanding of current educational trends and curriculum standards
*                  Bachelor's degree in history, museum education, education, or museum studies
