I suspect that you've checked out art supply sources such as Dick Blick,

What your conservator adviser is describing is a "studio" easel, generally
not intended to easily move about, so they don't typically come with
wheels. It would be a fairly simple task to add a set; all four should be
lockable and you might want all four to swivel, allowing the greatest
flexibility in moving. 3 or 4 inch casters would be appropriate additions
to the easel described via the link above, medium to heavy duty will serve
you better over the long haul.

But do you really need something with all these features for only
occasional display use?
