Dear Museum-L subscribers,

On May 19, 1979 the Chicago Historical Society opened the Chicago History
Galleries.  I am interested in comparing this exhibition to similar ones in
other cities - does anyone have information about other urban history
museums/historical societies that have mounted similar exhibitions, i.e.
Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, etc.? and when they were opened?

I would welcome citations (reviews, articles, catalogues, etc.) or contacts.
