Megan,
It would be good to have more of a description/information as to what you
are doing. You say "gallery for video work" and then reference a "black box
for video and sound works;" are you trying to create a darkened space to
project video in? Are there multiple pieces and are the video pieces
independent of the sound pieces? Do you just need to drop the ceiling (and
why add a second ceiling) or do you also need walls/covered openings? How
large is the space and is this a "room" within a room?

Sprinkler coverage is only one of several considerations, others include
emergency egress, blocking fire alarm sensors and alert devices as well as
having some level of emergency lighting.
