Sorry, but it's true. We have some trophy heads and taxidermy mounts that
no one wants, and we have no room to store them, and Cal. Fish 'n' Game
has taken what it wants and wants no more. Data actually exists.
Condition fair to poor.
Now, I DON'T want war stories. Half of us or more have been through this.
(Oh, OK, but send them to me off-list. Life is short.) What I DO want to
know, in SHORT messages, is simply this: does anybody out there that you
know of actually TAKE these specimens? Or is it like kittens, where
everyone who might want them already has too many?
SPARE ME the political diatribes, too. I've heard 'em. No philosophy on
these, please. Just deaccessioning options. I'll send you the complete
text of my recent talk on this whole problem if you break the rules, and
I'll test you on it. You have been warned.
There are so many of us with these headaches that nice POSITIVE solutions
that have worked would be like a breath of fresh air.
