Sorry, but it's true. We have some trophy heads and taxidermy mounts that no one wants, and we have no room to store them, and Cal. Fish 'n' Game has taken what it wants and wants no more. Data actually exists. Condition fair to poor. Now, I DON'T want war stories. Half of us or more have been through this. (Oh, OK, but send them to me off-list. Life is short.) What I DO want to know, in SHORT messages, is simply this: does anybody out there that you know of actually TAKE these specimens? Or is it like kittens, where everyone who might want them already has too many? SPARE ME the political diatribes, too. I've heard 'em. No philosophy on these, please. Just deaccessioning options. I'll send you the complete text of my recent talk on this whole problem if you break the rules, and I'll test you on it. You have been warned. There are so many of us with these headaches that nice POSITIVE solutions that have worked would be like a breath of fresh air. Thank you all.
