Political campaign… Like Democrats are not the biggest political shills on the planet (thinking Benghazi, because a resurgent Al Qaeda did fit our Dear Leader's line?), always after other peoples' money while they are at it, using victimization as a political tool, jumping all over themselves to label anyone opposing their ever regurgitated failed policies (I mean, the Weimar Republic failed… right? Hayek's predictions won over Keynes'; the Republican party platform never changed from the 1800s when the Whigs became the republicans, always for equal opportunity -- the Democrat platform changed, to promoting Federal goodies to get votes, however); do Dems give a rat's zhoppa about an American flag? Probably not.

Can Dems think past stage one, especially with regard to economics? No (a la Sowell). Can they get to that further stage of analysis (a la Friedman)? No. Do Dems attack anything as "racism" hate speech" "sexism" that they do not like, stifling robust debate? Yes. Moreso than Repubs? Big fat yes.

How do you like the insults, Leftists? Do you understand the difference between liberty and tyranny? Marxian Social Justice versus American Liberty and Justice for all? No. Because you are ignorant of all competing frameworks of history. Since Academe, especially in the social sciences is dominated by leftisms, one has to go search for opposing or competing frameworks on one's own; therefore, one could argue, only conservatives are generally familiar with those frameworks, nowadays (although our grandparents were). Like one of our Archaeology Theory tomes by Candian socialist Bruce Trigger -- the subtle anti-capitalsit American bashing throughout (gee, like Soviet planners planned efficiently billions of voluntary transactions/day).

Have you taken up Mitrokhin? Venona? Realize your whole mindset is regurgitated Soviet propaganda from the middle of last century? It would be funny if it were not so sad (or pathetic). So take your petty, infantile, criticisms, and keep them to yourself, or at least show a little intellectual robusticity in the criticism -- why is it bad taste? Based on what criteria? Did this rant help this conversation?

Do you go to Brookings (probably mores than the next I will mention), Cato, Heritage, NPRI, Rand, Hudson, Von Mises, AEI, IJ, etc.. any of these think tanks? No? I thought not. Do you read NRO, Human Events, American Spectator, New York Post, Washington Times, etc. Probably not.

What did Thatcher say, Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples' money… Well guess, what. The USA is broke (and Bush racked up Trillions his last two years… Yeah, and who was in charge of the House and Senate those last two years? -- Oh, the children: that dingbat Pelosi and good 'ol senile Dirty Harry).

Show a little diversity of thought, people. Because we decent, silent, more charitable than you (facts , folk, hard to argue with, huh?), conservatives, Libertarians (although too many disgruntled Dems are filling their ranks), and Republicans are sick to death of your ignorant insults). Hopefully we will rise up enough this election to say Dear Leader, thanks, but no thanks.

I mean, GAW, did you not want politics discussed here on an earlier post?

No one is stopping them from doing this, but by presenting it in the public forum it is opening up the action to public scrutiny and possibly criticism. Or is only one side of the argument allowed that precious freedom?

Strange coming from artist and people in the arts to limit what people have to say regardless of how we feel about what they are saying. Without freedom our art means nothing.
