The simple answer is yes based on a number of factors.  The space must
have some commerical value and you need to be able to illustrate that the
donor is suffering some income loss fro providing the space. For example,
an individual allowing the museum to store a vehicle in a garage or a
painting in an unused bedroom attached to his home would be hard pressed
to gain a tax advantage.
