If you've already registered we look forward to seeing you in October!

Highlights of the meeting:

and the final day we feature that topic critical to us all, but one for
which we never make time for...

A full day of disaster and emergency preparedness!! How do you prepare for
fire? How will you continue business if an epidemic hits your area? How do
you handle school groups during a natural disaster? What if their teacher is
hurt and you are in charge of the 1st grade?!! How do you assess the risk
of violence in your facility? How do you communicate, and who communicates,
with the media during an emergency? Learn from this important day on
Saturday, October 13.

And if you are considering or planning a new building or renovation, don't
miss the opportunity to participate in a day long preconference workshop on
"Building and Renovating Museums" - from planning to designing to financing.
Takes place on Wednesday, October 10 at the stunning de Young Museum in
Golden Gate Park .

Finally, consider staying the final night, Saturday, October 13 for "Burn
Baby Burn: Pardee and Pyrotechnics." The Pardee Home is a fascinating local
historic site, and the Crucible is an amazing industrial arts center with
strong ties to the annual Burning Man Festival in Black Rock Desert. It will
be a fun evening, with fire artists, bar-b-que and dancing (go to
