As a former "theatre person" I would suggest checking with theatrical
supply houses.  I remember hearing about these wonderful realistic candles
that were created for Phantom of the Opera.

 Rosco is is a big name in Theatre Supplies.  If you want to check the web,
I'd try Rosco.com (my guess for thier web site- don't know for sure) for a
start.
