Dear Mr. Inman,

I'm truly sorry for the infraction - it was done naively, with no intention
to disturb anyone. As I've mentioned to another suscriber, I'm sorry about
your and other's downloading time being wasted - and it's really surprising
to me that so many folks set their software to automatically download
attachments without knowing what they are! This seems dangerous re viruses,
and a waste of public bandwidth in and of itself.

Personally, I always scan the email subject lines and delete those in which I
have no interest BEFORE I download the batch. But I'm clearer now on how
everyone's sytem works differenty, and everyone does things in a different
way.

I've now put the offending data on a webpage, on the advice of other
subscribers, in case anyone is still interested. The URL is:

http://home.att.net/~allanmcnyc/art_laws.html

By the way, on a more personal note, I LOVE the California Center for the
Arts Museum in Escondido - I took a curator friend from MoMA there last month
to see the space (and the Ansel Adams exhibition), and we were both pleased
and really impressed - it looked like a really nice place to work ...

Again, I apologize.

Allan McCollum
