I assume hippy hair is parted in the middle and straight down hanging, maybe
with braids kinda in front of the ears. It is hard to describe the pictures
in my head :) Those would likely be 1840's, though Joan Severra does have an
example of a woman who kept doing it once it was not fashionable anymore.
