Here is some great info on eTapestry from our development coordintator:

The Martha's Vineyard Museum installed the on-line database eTapestry
about six years ago. The benefit of being on-line is that updates and
upgrades are automatic and no new software is required. Secondly, your
database is safe. No crisis if a computer has a meltdown. The support
is phenomenal, including a chat-room style IM support service for
immediate needs. Your database can be imported into eTapestry and the
consumer defines the fields in most cases, making the system completely
user-friendly. The query function allows the consumer to create lists
and groups, e.g. journal entries in a day, or members, or members who
are donors at a specific level, etc. The consumer 'writes' these
queries based on the defined fields and then can run reports with the
results. Reports can be exported as merge files, .pdf files or emails.
The system includes various modules, but these are offered a la carte,
such as mass email function. The basic service accommodates about 4,000
accounts, and additional space can be purchased. There is a lot more to
the system and I highly recommend it.
If anyone wants to chat about eTapestry, please feel free to contact

Hope this helps!
