Hi Kerry,
We have offered day trips to other museums and it seemed the best to
charge what would cover the cost to us and perhaps just a little more.
We thought of it as a service that we offer our membership (and offered
it to non members too, at a slightly higher price), not as a fund
raiser. I hope this helps...... Also, I'm not sure if your membership
tends to be of a certain age, but an eight hour travel day might be a
lot for some people - they just get worn out!

Happy travels!

> Hello! I am an intern at a small contemporary arts museum at a university, and I'm scoping out pricing for member trips. Our base membership level is $35 and we are non-profit. We're looking to take some members (number unknown as of yet, but surely not more than 20) on a day trip to another museum in the state. It would be a four hour drive (one way, that is, so eight total) and we'd be using a couple of rented vans. Our curator will be leading the tour.
