Yes.

Colorado Digitalization Project does a series of day long workshops that are excellent and very "hands on." First is an introduction which discusses project design and management; second is "Meta data" which discusses describing the data for cataloging purposes; third is a hands-on scanning workshop. Try [log in to unmask] Sue's an outstanding instructor. The workshop's are offered as a series for a total cost of around $90. You can't beat the price + the locations are in the Rocky Mountain West or high plains.

Hullo All--

Does anyone have any recommendations about good workshops/seminars/learning
opportunities for people planning/administering digitization projects for museum
collections (3-D artifacts, photos, paintings, etc)? I have seen the
descriptions for NEDCC's School for Scanning in December, which looks wonderful
but pretty understandably paper-collections focused. Is there any equivalent
for broader collections? Any suggestions would be appreciated--and thank you, as
always.
