Those interested in traveling contemporary quilt shows should also check out the Museum of the American Quilters' Society www.quiltmuseum.org in Paducah, KY. They have annual "New Quilts from an Old Favorite" design contest based on a traditional pattern. Once exhibit is over at MAQS museum, exhibit tours for about two years. We found it to be very worth while, economical (compared to other traveling exhibits), and always well attended as AQS/MAQS names were very recognizable to quilters in the region.
