I was in Egypt touring for 3 weeks in February. We were in Aswan, Luxor and Cairo and felt perfectly safe. This was my 6th time in Egypt in the last 10 years. The major thing we saw this time was the extreme lack of tourists and the desperation of those that depend on them for business. Was great for us. No crowds anywhere. The people are very friendly. It's a place not to be missed!!

Hi, Marcia:

Although there is an occasional ruckus, we do avoid these situations.
For example, in Cairo, we will stay at the airport hotel instead of our usual
hotels at Giza. My tour operator has just returned from Egypt where he
conducted two tours for the (high priced) Archaeological Institute of
America. Both were quire safe. There is an additional benefit at this
time, tourists are quite scarce, but are much needed. See the testimonial
on my Web site about the Egyptian people. Also there are the Tourist Police
whose job it is to protect and help tourists.
Hope you will join one or our tours. . .

Ron

Hi Ron, just curious, how safe is Egypt these
days?

Egypt

Greetings all . . .

We have added a new tour of Egypt to include all the expected major sites,
but to do it all in one week – Sunday to Sunday.
Our two week tour is still open and, of course, includes Amarna, Abydos and
Dendera. (Not included in the one week tour.)
See both itineraries at www.AncientEmpires-Tours.com
and register now!
