I fully agree with Gerri.

There are just too many variables to consider when planning for a
museum. Building and exhibits alike. Several weeks ago I sent out
information on a pictorial exhibit price guide that I use quite often on
Children’s Museum exhibit design. Even that has a wide range of
variables to consider.
When you are starting a project, especially a museum, do not get started
off on the wrong foot. You will live with that decision for a long time.
If you budget too low you may be sorry later when expectations are high
and the final product is unacceptable.

All - In order to get the best and latest costs, you will need to
contact
several contractors who build only specialized commercial buildings (not

your run-of-the-mill office building.) Then contact several
architectural
firms that have designed buildings with requirements similiar to what a
museum would need. Don't take up a lot of their time. Just tell them you

are doing a preliminary needs assessment & only need a "ballpark"
figure.
This will save you a lot of time & frustration. Hope this helps.
