Just reporting in. The first annual AAM meeting of Museum-L participants at
the Slippery Noodle on Tuesday, May 3 at 6 p.m. was sparsely attended, but a
lively discussion ensued. (And, no, I wasn't talking to myself!)
I understand from the bartender that someone arrived a little before 6 and
asked about the group. When I arrived at 6:05, I was unable to find you.
Part of the problem in setting up a meeting among people who know each other
through their postings, and not their faces. Next year, I believe that we
will concoct some device to make us more recognizable.
Anyway, I am planning ahead. Next year, at AAM in Boston (April 27 - May
1), I would propose that we meet at Jacob Wirth's, a wonderfully old bar in
Boston. Time and day to be selected later. I believe that the older the
bar we meet in, the better. No doubt Boston natives will have their own
suggestions, and we may change venues.
Hoping to see a bigger crowd next year.
