Hello Museum-L Community,

I am looking for advice on how to organize and number archival records, both digitally and manually. If you have good sources for this, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm accustomed to artifact collections with tripartite numbers, but if there is a different best practice for numbering archival records, I would love to know about it. Suggestions of good instructional books on this would be most helpful.

Thank you!
