Fall Begins at Autumnal Equinox Friday Afternoon
The Autumnal Equinox, the beginning ofthe season of Autumn or Fall in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth,begins Friday Afternoon, 2017 September 22. In Earth's Southern Hemisphere, this marks the astronomical beginningof the season of Spring.
The Autumnal Equinox also marks the date of a Memorial Service for Eric G. Canali, former Floor Manager of Pittsburgh's original Buhl Planetarium & Institute of Popular Science.
